Studio for Better Skin will be accepting
appointments on July 1st!
As far as we are aware, estheticians will be allowed to perform facials again during Phase III of the Knox County COVID-19 Reopening Plan. If this changes, appointments will have to be rescheduled.
I am hopeful that estheticians will be allowed to perform facials during Phase III of the Knox County COVID-19 reopening plan. Things will be a little different, but I have missed my studio and my clients more than I can say. So, without further ado, here are some things to be aware of before your next/first appointment:
When you arrive for your appointment, please drive around to the back of the building. You will see a door marked 10843 Studio for Better Skin. It is to the left of the double doors. Text me at 865-288-9883 to let me know you've arrived. Please do not knock on the door, as I may be with someone. Remain in your vehicle. At the time of your appointment, I will open the back door, at which time you may exit your vehicle and come to the door. Before going into the studio, I will take your temperature and ask you the following questions:
Have you been told to quarantine/isolate by a medical provider or the health department?
Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19 at any point in time, or has anyone in your household or place of employment?
Have you had any contact with someone who has COVID-19 in the past two weeks?
Do you feel ill or have any symptoms that are unusual? Have you been sick and recovered anytime recently?
Have you traveled outside of East Tennessee within the past two weeks?
If you have a temperature greater than 99.5 degrees, you will be asked to reschedule. If you answer yes to any of the above questions you will/may be asked to reschedule. I ask that you keep them in mind before your appointment, and call me with any questions or concerns. There will be no cancellation fees during this time. Important: I live with two high-risk individuals. It is extremely important that I keep their exposure to this virus at an absolute minimum. If you are feeling unwell or different than usual, or if you have had possible contact with anyone that is sick, please reschedule your appointment.
Please leave all personal belongings (purses, jackets, jewelry, scarves, etc.) in your vehicle. You may bring in the credit/debit card or payment method you will be using. If using a credit/debit card, I will not be physically running cards. I will manually enter your number.
Before your facial, you will be given a disposable bag to put your garments in during your treatment.
No one but you may come to your appointment, and you may not receive any visitors during your treatment.
You will be required to sign a COVID-19 release form stating that all of your answers to the above questions are true, and that while all measures will be taken to prevent the spread of infection, Studio for Better Skin cannot make any guarantees.
During Your Appointment
If you have a mask at home, please bring it with you and wear it during the screening process. If you do not have one, I will provide a disposable one for you. You will be required to wear this until you are on the table, ready for your facial. I will be wearing a mask and gloves during each treatment. Furthermore, I will be using a special shield during my facials. This will keep any air that might escape my mask from landing on you, and will encourage your airflow to go toward your feet rather than up. Here are some photos:

After Your Treatment
After your treatment I will leave you to get dressed. Please put your mask back on, leave the bag your clothes were in on the floor, and have a seat at the table. I will be in shortly to take your payment.
